I think I have nail fungus. How can I be sure?

Typically, nail fungus causes thick, yellowed, painful toe nails. However, there are several different strains of fungus which all look different. Additionally, there are other medical conditions that may appear to be nail fungus, but are totally different, such as Psoriasis.

The only way to be sure to that what you have is in fact Nail Fungus (or Onychomycosis) is to see a trained podiatrist who will examine your nails thoroughly.
