How does the laser work on Fungal Nails?

The fungus that lives under the toenail is treated with a laser light. The light passes through the toenail, killing the fungus underneath without causing damage to the nail or the skin around it. At the time of the procedure, the toenail will not become instantly clear, but as it grows out, the new nail will grow out as normal. It takes the average nail anywhere from 6 months to 1 year to fully grow out. The laser has no known side effects unlike other oral anti-fungal medications. It also has a higher success rate than oral medications.
