Biography
 Dr. Robert G. Parker is a third-generation Houstonian and has practiced in Houston since 1970, he was the first board certified podiatric surgeon by examination in Houston and served as an examiner on the American Board of Podiatric Surgery for 14 years. He has also served on the examination committee of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and was a co-founder of the Harris County Podiatric Medical Residency Program.
Dr. Parker's numerous professional affiliations include past president of the Southwest Division of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, and membership in the Harris County Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association, and American Podiatric Medical Association. He is also a Diplomate in Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a Fellow of the Association of Extremities Nerve Surgeons.
Keeping up-to-date and sharing his knowledge in regards to the latest treatments for foot health is very important to him. Dr. Parker is a frequent guest speaker at Podiatric Medical Associations and Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons. He teaches cadaver courses and lectures nationally in nerve surgery and various implants and fixations used in foot and ankle surgery. Continually attends medical seminars to learn new procedures to benefit the patient. Some of these procedures include Radio Frequency Therapy for heel pain, PSSD – (neuro-sensory testing) for neuropathy, Diagnostic Ultrasound for fasciitis, Extra Corporeal Pulse Activation Treatment for heel pain, Platelet Rich Plasma for chronic tendonitis, laser for fungal nails, ankle arthroscopy and OssaTron orthotripsy treatment for the relief for heel pain.
For relaxation, you can find Dr. Parker in the air as a pilot where he is rated for single, multiengine and instruments, and spending time with his family. His other activities include playing the guitar and his love of wine.
Dr. Parker resides in Houston with his wife Pamella and their sons, two fourth-generation Houstonians, Sean and Cameron.
